CLUB'S 110 YEARS
Club’s 110 years
Hunters Hill Mayor Sue Hoopmann was special guest at Hunters Hill Club’s recent 110 years anniversay dinner. The Mayor presented Club chairman John Collins with the Hunters Hill Municipality Shield, congratulating the club on “110 years of continuously meeting the general social and recreational needs of residents and community”. Mr Collins then presented Mayor Hoopmann with a donation of $2,000 to The Priory Preservation & Restoration Trust on behalf of the members at the evening.
The club also presented Gail O’Brien with a similar donation for The Lifehouse at RPA, the cancer research centre of her late husband Prof Chris O’Brien. More than 170 guests attended the evening who were met with a redecorated venue featuring black tablecloths, 16 round tables with black candelabras, red candles and staff in black 1930’s gangland outfits.
